History

On September 13, 2016, the Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UIR was officially established, as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 396/KPT/I/2016. The proposal to establish the PGSD program at FKIP UIR was crafted by a team of nine individuals from the undergraduate (BACHELOR) and graduate (MAGISTER) programs, specifically from the PGSD and Elementary Education departments.

The first Head of the PGSD Program at FKIP UIR, for the period 2016-2020, was the late Dra. Hj. Tity Hastuti, M.Pd., with the program secretary being Zaka Hadikusuma Ramadan, M.Pd. In the subsequent period from 2020-2024, the Head of the PGSD Program at FKIP UIR is Zaka Hadikusuma Ramadan, M.Pd., with Febrina Dafit, M.Pd., serving as the secretary. The first intake of PGSD students at FKIP UIR was in the Academic Year 2017/2018, with an initial enrollment of 123 students. Over time, the number of PGSD students at FKIP UIR has continued to increase each year, and in the academic year 2023/2024, there are a total of 1200 active PGSD students. One of the PGSD students at FKIP UIR, who graduated in the first period, was the top achiever in the faculty, namely Mitha Dwi Anggriani in the September 2021 graduation. In January 2021, PGSD UIR underwent its first accreditation visit, achieving a ‘Good’ accreditation status, and is currently in the process of reaccreditation.

VISION

In 2031, it aims to be an excellent, competent, religious, and independent study program based on science and technology (IPTEKS) and faith and piety (IMTAQ) in the Southeast Asian region.

MISSION

  1. Implement excellent, quality, and systematic education through the application of higher education curriculum and local wisdom.
  2. Conduct renewable and relevant research with a primary focus on elementary school education, grounded in science and technology (IPTEKS) and faith and piety (IMTAQ).
  3. Engage in community service as a manifestation of research results based on science and technology (IPTEKS) and faith and piety (IMTAQ) in primary schools.
  4. Enhance collaboration programs with various relevant institutions at the national and international levels in the field of primary education.
  5. Provide quality services and optimal performance for both internal and external academic communities, fostering a conducive academic atmosphere and culture.

MBKM CURRICULUM 2021 FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER EDUCATION 

Goals

  1. Menghasilkan pendidik, asisten peneliti, dan konsultan di sekolah dasar yang kompeten, religius, dan mandiri berlandaskan IPTEKS dan IMTAQ. 
  2. Menghasilkan produk penelitian berdasarkan perkembangan IPTEKS yang berkaitan dengan sekolah dasar dan dipublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah skala Nasional dan Internasional. 
  3. Menyebarluaskan IPTEKS yang berkaitan dengan sekolah dasar melalui aktivitas pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan, seminar, dan pendampingan pada jenjang sekolah dasar. 
  4. Menjalin kerjasama dengan berbagai lembaga terkait di tingkat nasional dan internasional untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan pada jenjang sekolah dasar. 
  5. Terbentuknya suasana dan budaya akademik yang kondusif dan bermutu bagi civitas akademika baik internal maupun eksternal.
