History

Chemistry Education Study Program of FKIP UIR was proposed on December 31, 2015 by a Team PROPOSAL TEAM for the Chemistry Education Study Program, namely:

Furthermore, it was approved by DIKTI in June 2016 with the Decree of Study Program Establishment SK DIKTI Number :

203/KPT/I/2017. UIR Chemistry Education Study Program began to implement new student admissions Academic Year 2017/2018.

VISION

To become a competitive study program in the field of Chemical Education based on mastery of information technology, iman (Faith) and taqwa (Piety) in the year 2041.

MISSION

  1. Organize innovative and high quality chemistry education and teaching to produce competitive prospective chemistry teachers based on iman (faith) and taqwa (piety).
  2. Enhance the quality of human resources through research and development innovations in the field of chemistry education and chemical science and publishing them at the national and international levels.
  3. Contribute to community service through research results and innovations in the field of chemistry education and chemical science and publishing them at the national and international levels
  4. Establish sustainable collaboration activities in the field of chemical education and chemical science at the national and international levels
  5. Fostering the academic community for the realization of a campus community based on iman (faith ) and (piety)

MBKM CURRICULUM 2021 FOR CHEMISTRY EDUCATION

Goals

  1. Elevating the quality of graduates by fostering strong competencies in pedagogy, chemistry, and information technology, while nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset.
  2.  Enhancing human resources in solving educational and chemical science challenges through dedicated research and development.
  3. Disseminating research outcomes to address societal issues through community engagement in education and chemical science.
  4. Establishing sustainable partnerships with both domestic and international stakeholders in the fields of chemistry education and chemical sciences.
  5. Creating a campus environment that upholds Islamic moral and ethical values, reinforcing the integrity of educational and teaching activities.

Graduate Profile

The graduate profile established by the Chemistry Education program includes: chemistry educators, novice education researchers, and innovative entrepreneurs in the field of education and chemistry, supported by proficiency in information technology. Graduates are expected to possess leadership qualities and the potential to pursue advanced studies while upholding Islamic moral and ethical values.

Chemistry Educator

A chemistry educator is a professional who understands student needs, and is capable of planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing education based on scientific knowledge. This individual upholds noble character and Islamic moral and ethical values, and serves as a facilitator for creative and innovative learning. They possess strong chemistry knowledge, are proficient in using information technology to stay updated with developments in chemistry and its education, embody the values of Pancasila, have English language skills, demonstrate leadership qualities, and have the potential to pursue professional education. They are prepared to become professional teachers and to advance to higher education in both the field of education and chemistry or its branches.

Novice Education Researcher

A novice education researcher is capable of identifying issues in chemistry education and selecting alternative solutions based on existing theories and research findings. They are skilled in publishing their research in scientific forums while upholding Islamic moral and ethical values. Additionally, they possess the potential to advance to higher education in either the field of education or chemistry, aligned with their area of research.

Entrepreneur in Education and Chemistry

An entrepreneur in education and chemistry works independently or collaboratively to create goods and services in the field of chemistry education (such as developing teaching materials and educational media) and in the field of chemistry (such as producing household chemical products, bioenergy, and essential oils). They are also involved in marketing these products and services.
